In this gallery you can see examples of Bob's graphite and charcoal drawings. Bob uses Saunders Waterford and Arches Full Imperial (76.2x55.9 cm) 140lbs Hot Press watercolour paper for his graphite and charcoal drawings, although, for 'Master Wood Carver Bernard Blackburn' he used Frisk CS10 Illustration board, apparently, this superb illustration board is no longer used these days, due to lack of demand for it. From time to time, Bob will be adding more content to this gallery, as with every other gallery…

Master wood carver working on a commission, 'Head of the Madona' in his studio / workshop. His studio was the old gatehouse of a convent. I rendered this image in graphite, I particularly enjoyed creating differnt textures for this image.

The Old Woman from Ghana

The reference photograph used for this portrait was kindly donated by Mr Johnathan Dawe of Periscope Productions in Liverpool, it was from one of his assignments in Africa

Morgan Freeman 45 x 63 cm

The legendary Morgan Freeman has had a mammoth career. He is known for his totally unique, gravelly voice and his ability to inject imposing dominance and charming comedy into his roles in equal measure. His film career didn’t start until he was in his thirties, but he already had a strong background on stage which was able to propel him into a career full of Academy Awards and Golden Globes.
